 2 voor 12 – Starry Night

For BNNVARA’s show “2 voor 12” I had the opportunity to make an explanimation.

With Neural Style Transfer I was able to transfer the artistic style from the famous painting “Starry Night” from Vincent van Gogh to existing video footage & visuals I’ve created.

By writing a tool in Python I was able to automatically generate style keyframes by using all the styles provided as images in a folder.

These style keyframes were than used in ebSynth to generate stylized footage.

What is Neural Style Transfer

A process that uses neural networks to apply artistic style from one image to another.
